Taking the bus in Lancaster with Red Rose Transit is easy and convenient once you know the basics. Here are 5 easy steps to ride the bus in Lancaster:
- Get a Schedule: RRTA Ride Guides are available onboard RRTA buses, at Queen Street Station, and at redrosetransit.com.
- Stand at the Bus Stop: Locate the nearest bus stop for your route and wait for the bus to come to your stop. Stand in clear view of the driver and “flag” (wave to) the bus as it approaches to let the driver know that you are waiting for the bus.
- Board your bus: When the bus stops, enter the bus at the front door. All buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped with bike racks.
- Pay for your fare: All fares are paid when you board the bus. You can pay with the RRTA Go Mobile app, reusable Go Mobile smart card, or in cash.
- Exit your bus: As the bus approaches your destination, pull the cord or push the red stop buttons to signal the driver you want to stop. Cords are located along the windows and red stop buttons are located on the poles along the aisle.
If you need any assistance during your ride, please ask your RRTA driver for guidance. For any latest bus service updates and information please go to redrosetransit.com.
